The earliest memories I have are from the age of 3. I can recall being at my godfathers place. He was the president of a motorcycle club in North East Victoria. I spent a lot of time in this environment during the early stages of my life. From what my mother has told me I used to get passed around the table when I was around 18 months old, given sips of beer. I’m sure that would have been amusing to those people at the time but later in life I became an alcoholic. |

House of Restoration (HR) is an independent, non-profit organization working with people in need across the city of Melbourne. HR is a registered charity providing assistance to the disadvantaged, homeless and those from broken families through programs and services which promote a sense of belonging and purpose. By creating a strong support network and family environment, we aim to facilitate personal restoration and empower people to achieve lasting change that will improve their well-being and enable them to make a positive contribution in their world.

House of Restoration’s food bank is back in operation. If you know of any families, senior citizens or individuals who would benefit from this service please contact the office. The type of items available include toiletries, bread, dairy products, tinned food, biscuits and snacks, drinks and more.

A team from House of Restoration conducted a school holiday program for the children of Bagot the week of 29th September to 3rd October. Bagot is a ‘Town Camp’, in other words, an Aboriginal Community located within the city of Darwin. It’s about 6km from the city centre. The people who live in Bagot come from all around the Northern Territory. |
