House of Restoration

It was a fantastic opportunity for D'Light to perform on the outside stage at the Exo carnival before the main Youth Alive event. When the track on the CD didn't work the team felt a bit disheartened. They had prepared and come all the way to the city only to find out they weren't going to be able to perform their signature dance 'Joyful Joyful' in the dance comp. Instead some of the group performed some individual items including beat boxing and a remix version of Amazing Grace. However disappointment was turned to joy when a friend pulled some strings and managed to get the team a gig on the big stage at the main event later that evening. Everybody was pumped as they waited in the wings to be called up. The floor was packed and there were thousands of eyes looking up at them expectantly as they waited for the music to start. Thank God that the CD worked and everybody put their heart and soul into the performance in front of a packed Rod Laver area. It was a perfect ending to the day and the fulfilment of a dream for some of us.
