For adults who want to improve their computer and internet skills, you can get a Certificate II qualification in IT through a free course run by HR.

If you are over 25 years of age and have not completed year 12 or any other formal qualifications, you are eligible for this free 12 week course, covering a range of Microsoft Office products inlcuding Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Email and Powerpoint. Also included are skills in accessing the internet, how to protect against viruses and how to install software as well as how to connect hardware peripherals such as a printer or scanner to your computer.

The course is fully government funded and involves 12 3-hour sessions. Upon completion you will receive a nationally recognised and certified Certificate II in Information Technology qualification.
