It has been an awesome year… a great man once said, a boat that makes no ripples is a boat that is going nowhere, but I want to assure you that HR this year have been making ripples and big ones. This year alone, HR has achieved great things that we thought were not possible. Our ripples have turned into waves and we have been hitting shores that have never been seen or heard of before. My main target this year is the dance ministry, which is called D’Light.
D’Light consists of a group of youth that start at 10 years old and love to dance. The group started dancing to pass time on weekends and have now performed at dance balls, youth gatherings and other events.
For these young people, being a part of something gives them a drive, perseverance, strength, hope and the desire to share to their peers, community and the world around them that you can achieve your dreams and goals. It’s not regretting the moment we live, but regretting not living the moment.
So this year we are riding a wave, a wave that will take us places that we’ve never been before or even comprehended. Without special people in our lives and friends that we meet, a ministry such as this would not be possible and we would not be able to leave such an impact in the lives of those who are involved. D’Light has brought these young people together, from many different walks of life and cultures. The young boys and girls have made an impact in people’s lives, both young and old.
Members of D’Light have the ability to entertain and encourage people with what they have to offer. All they need is love: love like a river will cut a new path whenever it meets an obstacle. So shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you will land among the stars. |
