In Box Hill we are coming into the last weeks of the Certificate IV in Information Technology course with 5 students about to complete the program. We have also been able to assist students with supplies from our food relief program which is distributed every fortnight as well as fresh bread which is distributed weekly.

The third container to be sent to Fiji was loaded up yesterday with the many resources that have been collected over the past year including clothes, school desks, chairs, computers, books and more.

Team from Wadeye visits HR Melbourne |

A team of young men from the Indigenous community of Wadeye in the Norththern Territory came to Melbourne to promote their band and share about the needs of the people up in their end of the country. The HR family enjoyed their company at our Thames St house as we played volleyball, joined in with a Wadeye-style sing-a-long and tucked into a good old Aussie barbecue. |

Inverloch Beach-Volleyball Tournament |

At the back of the boys house we have a volleyball net strapped between two trees. Our court, which has quickly turned from grass to dirt is marked out by imaginary lines. We thought we are getting pretty good, so when the chance came up to play in a real volleyball tournament we entered five teams, hired a bus and headed down the coast to Inverloch! |

House of Restoration’s food bank is back in operation. If you know of any families, senior citizens or individuals who would benefit from this service please contact the office. The type of items available include toiletries, bread, dairy products, tinned food, biscuits and snacks, drinks and more.
