Shining Light Heads to Mt. Hagen E-mail

PNG.JPGShining Light’s next destination is Mt Hagen, Papua New Guinea! HR has taken steps to establish a base in PNG with a vision to bring restoration to family life and to help transform communities for the better. Shining Light has got on board with this vision and has begun the process of collecting resources to send to PNG with our focus being on schools and “settlement” areas.

Shining Light Sends Second Container to Fiji E-mail

closing_container.JPGOver the past 6 months Shining Light has been working towards sending a second container to the Tailevu district on Fiji’s main island, Viti Levu. During our first trip in March we had the opportunity to assess the needs of the school, and have now collected and packed enough resources to send another container.

D'Light Wows Crowd at Local Festival E-mail

dlight_festival.JPGThe sun came out and the crowd turned up at the Whitehorse Spring Festival this year! D'Light had the opportunity to take part in the entertainment. The group performed their signature hip hop dance and four of the young ladies performed a special broadway number from the musical Chicago.

D'Light Rocks Whittlesea Congregation E-mail

dlight_whittlesea.JPGWith some newly acquired dancers and looking flash in their Witness hoodies, the D’Light team took to the stage at Whittlesea Uniting Church. Hours of practice paid off when they delivered a fantastic performance that was well-received by the audience.

Container Arrives at Tailevu North College E-mail

students_balls.JPGHeavy rain beat down on the windscreen as we drove carefully up the flooded driveway to Tailevu North College. As we drew closer to the school building the sound of screaming students penetrated our eardrums. The car came to a stop outside the main office building where hundreds of students were standing, jumping and yelling at the top of their voices. They were gathered all around the building and up on the balcony holding hand-made signs of thanks and gratitude.
