Located in the Pacific Ocean north of New Zealand, Fiji consists of a group of islands known for their tropical beauty and relaxed atmosphere. Since 2006 House of Restoration has been involved in running projects in Fiji, through the Shining Light department. With the majority of the work for these projects being done in Melbourne, HR does not currently have a permanent base in Fiji. Located at a central point amongst the other South-Pacific nations, it is an ideal place to base the Shining Light department. There is also a need for other community development initiatives such as education and training programs, practical teaching of life skills and health promotion. Over the next few years HR will be seeking to set up a permanent base in Fiji.
