House of Restoration

During the last year we have met many people from all different walks of life. Early last year while we were out on the streets we met a young man involved in prostitution, desperately wanting a different life. We were able to assist him in the issues surrounding his work and gender dysphoria, help him find alternative work and bring him into a supportive family environment at HR. During this time, he was also able to make contact with his biological family and mend the broken relationships they had.

We have also developed a working relationship with another organisation which reaches out to prostitutes, the homeless and people struggling with life-controlling issues. Through this organisation we have made contact with people who need support. We have helped another young man build stronger ties with his biological family and have begun to assist him in finding alternative accommodation away from the influence of drugs.

Since making contact with people on the street we have been invited to their homes for dinner, movies and coffee. We have organised sports days for them and brought them into a community that is non-discriminative and non-judgmental where they can be encouraged, supported and loved.
